Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 21 June 2026

These terms apply to anyone booking or using tuition services provided by MathsTutorHelp, the trading name of a sole trader business based in Manchester, UK (“we”, “us”, “MathsTutorHelp”).

By booking a lesson, registering interest or using this website, you agree to these terms.

Our Services

MathsTutorHelp provides:

  • One-to-one online and in-person maths tuition
  • Small group GCSE maths classes
  • Manchester Coding Club
  • Online course memberships and one-off course access
  • Related learning resources and worksheets

Services are aimed at school-age students, and adult learners where relevant, and are delivered by a qualified, DBS-checked teacher.

Bookings and Payment

  • Lessons and classes are booked via the website, WhatsApp or the Hai-BL platform
  • Current prices are listed on our Pricing page; we will always confirm the price before a booking is finalised
  • Payment arrangements are confirmed when a booking is made, unless otherwise agreed
  • Group class places are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and may require a deposit or advance booking to secure a place

Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson
  • Any late cancellation or missed session policy will be confirmed before a booking is finalised
  • We will try to give as much notice as possible if we need to cancel or reschedule a session ourselves

Group Classes

  • Group class places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Missed session, refund or transfer arrangements will be confirmed as part of the booking details for each class

Conduct and Safeguarding

  • We expect all students to behave respectfully towards the tutor and other students
  • We reserve the right to end tuition arrangements where behaviour consistently disrupts learning or creates safety concerns
  • See our Safeguarding page for how we handle concerns about a student’s welfare

Online Lessons

  • Online sessions require a stable internet connection and a quiet space to learn
  • We are not responsible for connection issues caused by your equipment or internet provider, but we will do our best to reschedule where a technical issue prevents a lesson from going ahead
  • The video platform, scheduling and any recording arrangements are confirmed before live lessons begin

Online Course Memberships

  • Online course memberships are separate from live one-to-one tuition and in-person group classes
  • Each membership includes one selected course or pathway level unless additional access is agreed
  • Memberships are monthly with no long-term contract
  • The selected course, start date, billing date, renewal arrangements and cancellation effective date are confirmed before payment
  • Silver and Gold live lessons are scheduled subject to tutor availability
  • Rescheduling, missed-lesson, unused-lesson and refund arrangements are confirmed before the first payment
  • WhatsApp support is limited to short course questions and guidance and does not replace a live lesson
  • For students under 18, a parent or guardian should manage the initial enquiry and booking

  • We try to keep information accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee the website will always be error-free or uninterrupted

Liability

  • We provide tuition with reasonable skill and care, but we cannot guarantee specific exam results or grade outcomes, as these depend on many factors beyond tuition alone
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded under UK law
